Message from the Director

Education is the key agency to translational and social transformation. Agricultural education imparts moral responsibility of nurturing the young ones in the field of agriculture and allied sciences for nation building. The genuine idea of our educational system is not merely to lead the learner in the acquisition of knowledge and experience but most importantly to bring in him/her those habits and attitudes with which the learner may successfully face the future. Modern education is to develop inner capacity and power to the full extent and social efficiency and dynamism. So, education should be related to the actual life and experience of the individual. It should, therefore, be practical. Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Institute of Agricultural Sciences has been established with vision of imparting quality agriculture education to the dynamic youngster of north eastern region in general and students of Manipur in Particular.

Message from the Chairman

It gives me immense pleasure with the publication of the 1st Edition of the prospectus of the Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Institute of Agricultural Sciences, located at Utlou, Bishnupur. This Institute was established with a vision to impart academic and morale excellence through the sincere and honest effort contributed by young energetic and enthusiastic founder members. The sole aim of the Institute is to provide quality agricultural education right from intermediate up to research orientation Ph.D to the students in order to insure that more students have access to a meaningful higher agricultural education.. This makes the journey of education more exciting. I am indeed grateful to the Governing Body Member, teaching and non-teaching staff members of this Institute for the enormous contribution. I also extend my sincere and warm welcome to all students who would be joining this institute and I hope they will enjoy the best facilities available in the Institute.
